Travel Destinations in 2013

Only few days left until February, the second month of this new year and people are already starting to make plans for their vacation. Do you have travel plans for 2013? Still undecided about a particular place to spend your holiday vacations? If yes is your answer and you are on a limited budget this year, maybe this info will be useful.

For many reasons, many of you still don’t have a clue about their next holiday destination. That is why, a guideline regarding a list of top travel destinations for 2013 is more than welcome. Whether you are influenced by your friends opinions or prefer a well research about a particular country, marketing with different campaigns and promotions still makes a difference.

Compiling the best travel destinations for this year is a difficult task, but here is a list with a few travel vacations that may inspire you. First destination to consider would be Scotland, a country that is part of the United Kingdom. If you get to see James Bond’s newest movie Sky fall, you have probably seen the actor running through the country’s downside. Furthermore, Scotland is the place for many outdoor events and special deals, as 2013 has been dubbed as “The Year of Natural Scotland”.

Other travel destination can be Kosice, a city in eastern Slovakia. It is a beautiful medieval old town, offering a mix of Renaissance, baroque and art nouveau architecture and has been chosen 2013’s European Capital of Culture, alongside Marseille in France. It means this year will be a fiesta with at least 300 cultural events. Throughout the year, those who visit Kosice will be spectators to a variety of music festivals, art, theatre or street performance.

Planning to explore Europe this year? Why not choosing for Amsterdam? This year, the city will mark major anniversaries such as a special 160th anniversary of Van Ghogh’s birthday celebrated on March 30 with openings hours and special exhibitions. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra from Amsterdam celebrates 125 years old this year and a special concert will be held on April 10 plus other anniversaries. Hence, it will be a great opportunity to celebrate your anniversary in Amsterdam too with so many announced this year.

Want to make an old desire come true? Go to United States, more precisely in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. With the 85th Academy Awards coming up soon and the 150th anniversary of the real president’s famed 272-word Gettysburg address, it will also be a year full of events scheduled around this town.

These are only a few travel destinations to think about for this year, but the list is still open for new ideas.
